Data Deletion
Last updated August 29, 2026
How to delete the data Update My SEO holds about you, including anything we received from a connected social account. Update My SEO is operated by Level 16 Media LLC (Denver, Colorado).
Deleting a connected social account
If you connected a Facebook Page, Instagram account, or Google Business Profile so we could share your published articles, we store only what is needed to post on your behalf: the account or page identifier, its display name, the access token issued to us, and the identifiers of posts we created.
You can delete it in either of two ways:
- Revoke our access from the platform itself. On Facebook, open Settings and Privacy, Settings, Business Integrations, select Update My SEO, and choose Remove. This invalidates our access token right away.
- Email help@updatemyseo.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete the connection.
Either route removes the stored account identifier, name, access token, and post identifiers from our systems within 30 days. Deleting your Update My SEO account removes them too. Posts already published to your page stay on your page, where you control them.
Deleting your whole account
Sign in, open Account in your dashboard, and use Delete account. Your profile, articles, support conversations, uploaded documents, and any connected social accounts are deleted from our systems within 30 days, and backups roll off within 30 days after that. Billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting, typically 7 years. Articles you published into your own platform stay where they are; a blog we host comes down within 30 days.
If you cannot sign in
Email help@updatemyseo.com from the address on the account and tell us what you want deleted. We confirm your identity, complete the deletion within 30 days, and write back when it is done.
