Terms of Service

1. The service

Update My SEO ("we", "us", "the Service") writes blog articles about your business using automated software and publishes them to a blog we host for you (for example blog.yourdomain.com), on a schedule you choose. We also provide a dashboard to review, edit, approve, reject, and unpublish articles, a Help Center, and an in-app support assistant.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business you sign up.
• Keep your login private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Give us accurate information about your business. Articles are written from it.
• One account may connect one website. Additional sites require additional accounts or a plan that includes them.

3. Trial, pricing, and billing

• The trial costs $1, lasts 7 days, and includes up to 3 published articles and a 30-day topic plan.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription continues automatically at $149 per month, or the annual price ($1,188 per year, billed once) if you selected it. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
• You can switch between monthly and annual at any time; changes are prorated by Stripe.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days notice by email. Changes apply at your next renewal.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel any time from Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; publishing continues until then and your published articles stay live on your blog. Pausing is available as an alternative: nothing publishes and nothing is charged until you resume. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Your content and ours

• You own the articles we produce for your account, once published or delivered to your dashboard, and you may use them however you like. You grant us a license to store, display, and publish them on the hosted blog for as long as your account is active.
• You own the information you give us about your business and any documents you upload. You grant us a license to use them only to provide the Service.
• We own the Service itself: software, design, templates, the Help Center, and our brand. Nothing in these terms transfers that to you.
• We may use aggregated, de-identified data about how the Service is used to improve it. We do not publish your business information anywhere except your own blog.

6. Articles are drafts you are responsible for

Articles are generated by software and reviewed by no human unless you review them. We work hard to make them accurate and useful, but we cannot guarantee that every statement is correct, current, or appropriate for your industry. You are responsible for what is published under your business name: read what matters, use review-first mode if you prefer to approve everything, and edit or unpublish anything you disagree with. Articles are not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

7. Connecting your domain

To publish at blog.yourdomain.com you add a DNS record at your registrar pointing to us. You confirm you control that domain. We do not modify anything else about your domain, website, email, or hosting. If you disconnect the domain or your account ends, articles stop resolving there; you can export them from your dashboard first.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, hateful, or harmful; to represent a business you are not authorized to represent; to attempt to access other customers' data; to reverse engineer or resell the Service; or to send abusive volumes of requests. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with a refund of any unused prepaid period at our discretion unless the violation was willful.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice. Scheduled publishing depends on third-party services (hosting, AI providers, DNS) that we do not control.

10. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Level 16 Media LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenue, arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from content you asked us to publish, your business information, or your breach of these terms.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms or if we discontinue the Service, with notice and a refund of any unused prepaid period in the latter case. Sections 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, contact us; most issues are solved in one email.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
