Update My SEO is operated by Level 16 Media LLC (Denver, Colorado). This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who processes it, and your choices. It covers updatemyseo.com, the customer dashboard, and the blogs we host for customers.
What we collect

We do not run advertising trackers or sell personal information. We do not use third-party analytics cookies today; if we add privacy-respecting analytics we will update this policy.
How we use it
To provide the Service you signed up for, bill you, send the emails you have turned on, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Article generation uses AI models: your business profile, article briefs, and previously published titles are sent to our AI provider to write each article. Support assistant conversations are sent to the same provider to answer you.

Each provider is bound by its own privacy and data-processing terms. We will update this list when it changes.
Where your data lives
United States. If you use the Service from outside the US you consent to your data being processed in the US.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, articles, support conversations, and uploaded documents are deleted from our systems within 30 days; billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting (typically 7 years). Backups roll off within 30 days after deletion.
Your choices and rights
- Change your name, email, password, and notification settings under Account.
- Delete your account under Account (Delete account). Articles already published on a domain you control stay on our hosted blog only until you disconnect it.
- Export or correct your data, or ask what we hold: email help@updatemyseo.com. We respond within 30 days.
- California, Colorado, and EU/UK residents have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection). We honor them for everyone. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and protect against abuse. No advertising cookies.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, access is restricted per customer account (row-level security), and secrets are never stored in code. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will notify you without undue delay.
Changes
We will post updates here and, for material changes, email you.
