Update My SEO

Connect Google to see your real traffic (the easy way)

One click, then pick your site. We can only read your Search Console numbers, never change anything. Works on WordPress, GoHighLevel, Wix, HubSpot, and custom sites.

On Site & publishing, under Search Console traffic data, click Connect Google. This is the easiest way to see your real Google clicks and impressions on a WordPress, GoHighLevel, Wix, HubSpot, or custom site.

What happens.

  1. Click Connect Google and choose the Google account you use for Search Console.
  2. Google shows a screen asking to let Update My SEO view your Search Console data. Approve it.
  3. You come back to the dashboard. Pick which of your Search Console sites is this one, then click Use this one.

That's it. Your numbers start showing up in your Overview and on the Quick wins page after the next daily update.

What you're allowing. Read-only access to your Search Console numbers (which searches show your pages, clicks, impressions, average position) for the sites you've already verified. We can't change anything in your Google account or in Search Console, and we never see your Google password. We use the data only to show it to you and to suggest improvements to your own site. Read more in our privacy policy.

"None of these match my site." Connect Google can only read a site that is already in your Search Console. If your site isn't listed, you'll see steps to add it: open Search Console with the same Google account, click Add property, choose Domain, and type your domain. Google gives you one DNS TXT record to add where your domain is managed (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap and so on). Add it, click Verify, wait a few minutes, then come back and click I've added it, check again. Our DNS guide shows the exact steps at your registrar.

If Google asks you to reconnect. Sometimes Google pauses access, for example after a Google password change. You'll get one email and a banner in your dashboard. The numbers you already see stay put, they just stop updating. Click Reconnect Google and approve again, about 30 seconds.

To disconnect. On the same card, click Disconnect Google. We tell Google to cancel our access and delete the saved connection. The numbers we already collected stay in your dashboard, but they stop updating. You can also remove access any time in your Google Account under third-party access.

Don't want to connect Google? You can still add our email as a user in Search Console by hand: see the manual way.
