AI visibility page: what each section means and where it comes from

What it is. A monthly report on whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews use your website when they answer your customers' questions.

Why we show it. More people ask an AI assistant who to hire before they ever open Google. The assistants recommend a short list, and you cannot see the customers you lose when you are not on it. This page shows whether you are, and who is instead.

Where the numbers come from.

• The score and the engine results: Our own monthly check. We ask each assistant the same 10 questions your customers would ask. An answer counts as citing you when your website address appears among the sources it used. On the 1st of every month.
• The 10 questions: Written by us from your business. We also suggest real searches from Search Console, and you can add your own. Kept the same month to month, so the comparison is fair.
• Who the engines cite instead: The websites that appeared in those same answers. With each monthly check.
• Visits from AI assistants: Real visits to your articles where the visitor came from an AI assistant, counted on blogs we host. Google AI Overviews arrive as normal Google traffic, so they cannot be counted separately. Daily, shown for the last 30 days.
• Article status for each question: Our own records of whether an article that answers it is live, scheduled or still planned. Live.

If it looks empty.

• The score is 0: That is common at the start and it is real data, not missing data. New articles need a few months to be found, read and trusted. Broad questions mostly go to big directories, and the specific local questions are where a small business gets in first.
• It says your first report card is on the way: The check runs on the 1st of each month. Nothing for you to do.
• You see a sample instead of your results: AI visibility is an add-on and this site is not enrolled in it yet. The sample shows what the monthly report contains.
