Claim your business listings (Bing, Apple, Yelp and more)

A checklist of the listings worth claiming beyond Google, and how a pasted profile link helps your blog.

  1. 1

Open Local presence in your dashboard and fill in your exact business name, address and phone at the top. Every listing should use these, character for character.

  2. 2

Open Local presence in your dashboard and work down the list. Start with Bing Places: choose Import from Google Business Profile and it fills itself in.

  3. 3

Click Open on each row, claim the listing, and verify it. Each platform asks you to verify by phone, email or postcard, so we cannot do this step for you.

  4. 4

When a listing is live, tick it done and paste the link to your profile. We add that link to your blog's markup so search engines see the connection.

Why bother. Search engines and AI assistants cross-check more than your website. Bing powers Copilot, DuckDuckGo and a large part of ChatGPT search. Apple Maps and Siri pull from Apple Business Connect and Yelp. A consistent name, address and phone across these listings helps all of them trust that you are one real, local business.

What to expect. Listings are a trust signal, not a ranking switch. Most links from directories carry little weight on their own, and Yelp links are marked nofollow. The value is that you show up correctly in Apple Maps, Bing and AI answers, and that nothing contradicts your website.

Keep it identical. Use the copy block from your business details. Do not add keywords or a city to your business name, and do not abbreviate Street in one place and spell it out in another.

Skip the upsells. Every one of these has a free listing. Paid advertising and accreditation offers are separate and not needed here.

What we add to your blog. Once you save profile links, they appear in your blog's structured data. If your business details are complete, your street address does too. You do not need to do anything else.
